About Brian

Selecting the right person for an assignment can be daunting. Often a consultant can have great technical know-how, but lack good interpersonal skills. All too often when you know who you want, you find that they handball the project to more junior staff. Bigger practices chase bigger clients, and it can be difficult to find consultants that give your work the priority it deserves.

Brian has been working in planning for over 30 years. He has qualifications in geography, urban and regional planning, urban design and community engagement.

Brian picks his clients carefully, so if he is not the right person for the job he will say so. His client relationships need to be built on mutual understanding and trust.

Brian offers the following to his clients:

  1. He rises to a challenge. If you have a difficult problem to resolve he will do everything he can to wrestle it into submission for you. The bigger the challenge the more likely he is the person for the job.
  2. Brian is committed to his work. As a small practice you get him, and his commitment means he will be available to assist, and do what is necessary to get the desired outcome.
  3. He is nevertheless a team player. Brian is able to work effectively with others to get the best out of everyone to get the job done successfully.
