Planning Projects

A “planning project” can be anything from obtaining planning approval, a simple rezoning, advice on a planning proposal, through to strategies to re-plan an area, or a major development project.

The planning of projects can be haphazard, and projects can become “dead in the water” if not managed carefully. Project direction has traditionally been left in the hands of “project managers” who focus on aligning resources to tasks, and getting them done in the right order. Today even the most simple of projects are actually more complex than they look, and often politically sensitive.

Project planning and direction requires a combination of skills that cannot be left to a team. Brian has extensive experience of taking on this role for a range of project types. He has unrivalled experience in Perth of working and advising on partnership and urban regeneration projects, major development projects and complex planning proposals.
