Town Centre Revitalisation
Mirrabooka Regional Centre:Brian was engaged by the City of Stirling to undertake a project review to advise on progress to date, project management processes, and to confirm if it remains on track to realise its objectives. This involved a comprehensive review of all relevant background documentation, interviews with stakeholders, councillors and Council staff and briefings to the City and staff on recommendations. Roleystone Town Centre:Brian planned, managed and carried out this visioning process for the city of Armadale. He facilitated community workshops and prepared a Precinct Plan for the Roleystone town centre that included identifying actions to realise the community’s vision for the town centre. This partnership project with State government has established a prioritised plan for the expenditure of funds for the town centre. City of Belmont:Revitalisation of Neighbourhood and Local Centres: Brian worked for the City of Belmont on a community engagement process aimed at the revitalization of neighbourhood and local centres. In this project, which is part funded by the Network City Community Program, Brian devised and facilitated a series of seven local workshops with key stakeholders to identify strategies and improvements, and wrote up the final report with recommendations. Kenwick Central Precinct Workshop:In March 2005 Brian organised and facilitated a workshop with State and Local government officers into the future of this precinct within the Maddington Kenwick Partnership area. The workshop investigated the potential of the area to contribute to sustainable outcomes for the area. | ![]() Brian worked on Mirrabooka at DPI, and more recently undertook a major review of the project to guide implementation![]() Roleystone town centre revitalisation to make it more people friendly![]() Kenwick central precinct workshop sought to establish a new vision for the future |
